Joe
Meet Joe.
He grew up in Jackson, Michigan.
5 younger sisters.
Middle class.
Football.
Steel shops.
Uncles who drank too much then drove into the backyard late at night.
His mom wanted a better home for the family.
So they moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
It was different.
He went to college.
Majored in Poly Sci.
He wore a red gown instead of a black one at graduation.
Then he moved to Central Oregon with a couple of buddies and grew a nice, long pony tail.
They played music and smoked and lived in a doublewide trailer.
Joe went to church one day out of the blue.
He heard the Prodigal Son story and decided to move back home to Arizona.
Then he met his love.
Erika. That’s them in the snow.
They now live together in Sellwood.
He’s very close to his sisters.
He loves kids.
He tinkers.
He tells jokes.
He helps people.
He cares about the world.
He lives life one day at a time.
He’s really an awesome dude.
I’m really glad he decided to be part of this project.
